Herbal products are the ones with no or infinitesimally small amount of side effects, whereas the synthetic products have lot of side-effects and harmful effects.  Herbal products are boon of the nature.

Initially, man lived in harmony with nature in a natural way taking only what he needed from nature. With the improvement in science and technology, man has almost lost touch with nature.

Without understanding and knowing the consequences, he exploited nature and natural resources to live a comfortable life; however he did not understand that he would have to pay for his deeds by risking his health and life along with the lifespan of earth. Now, the realization has dawn, and he has started his journey back towards the nature.

The herbal products include everything right from his basic needs of oil to modern cosmetics; from medicine to pesticides.

With the growing popularity and demand of herbal products, it is high time that International standards be set for establishing the procedures, quality and price for them.

Herbal products are safe to use, however, misuse of the herbal materials or plants might be harmful.

Herbal products, if adulterated with any contaminating agent might cause some effects, if not adverse effects.

Many pharmaceutical companies are coming forward to manufacture and market the herbal products.

There is a variation in the licensing of manufacture of herbal products, which has to be standardized so there is homogeneity in the process.
